Dymista

azelastine/fluticasone

Dymista nasal spray is a comprehensive medication formulated to alleviate various nasal symptoms associated with seasonal allergies. Its primary function is to reduce congestion, sneezing, and runny nose caused by allergic reactions. The two key substances used in this medicine are Azelastine and Fluticsone. Azelastine functions as an antihistamine, a type of chemical agent that counters the negative effects of a natural body compound called histamine. In the event of an allergic reaction, histamine release may result in sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and a runny nose. Thus, Azelastine is successful in managing these symptoms. On the other hand, Fluticsone is classified in the steroid category of medications. Its main role is to halt the body's production of substances responsible for inflammation – a common detrimental by-product of seasonal allergies. By halting this process, Fluticsone reduces the severity and duration of nasal discomfort and inflammation caused by seasonal allergies. more
