Tenormin

Atenolol

Tenormin (atenolol) is a beta blocker medicine that's used to treat high blood pressure and heart problems. It works by blocking the effects of certain chemicals in your body, which can help to lower your blood pressure. Tenormin may also be used to prevent angina (chest pain). If you're taking tenormin, it's important to follow your doctor's instructions carefully. Be sure to take your medication exactly as prescribed and don't stop taking it without first talking with your doctor. Common side effects of tenormin include tiredness, dizziness, and headache. Let your doctor know if you experience any of these symptoms so they can adjust your dosage or prescribe a different medication if necessary. more
